A system designed and installed by Empowered Energy Systems will allow you to save more money with solar panels through net metering, and lower equipment and installation costs: A grid-connected system allows you to power your home or business with renewable energy when the sun is shining. Any excess electricity you produce is fed back into the grid and your meter will spin backwards! When the sun isn’t shining, electricity from the grid supplies your needs, eliminating the expense of electricity storage devices like batteries. Depending on your electricity usage, you may create an overall credit with the utility company during the summer months and the credit is then used during the winter. Typically, at the end of the year, if your solar system has created more power than the home used that year, the utility company sends you a check for the extra power you put into the grid!
