We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated Equipment Manager to join our team at Empowered
Energy Systems, located in Hotchkiss, CO. This role plays a key part in keeping our operations smooth,
efficient, and ready for installs. It also has the potential to expand to include a Part-time Installer
position (see below).

Position is 8 hours/week (1 consistent day/week; any day other than Friday). Starting hourly wage is $20
or higher DOE, with a $1 raise after a two month trial period and review. Benefits include paid time off
and a retirement plan (Simple IRA with 3% matching) after your first $1000 earned.
Additional Part-time Installer position would be an additional 8-10 hours/week (2 consistent days/week
including both the Equipment Manager and the Part-time Installer positions).

Equipment Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keep our warehouse and headquarters clean, organized, and well-maintained
  • Track inventory using Google Docs/Sheets
  • Monitor, record, and receive incoming shipments
  • Schedule and track maintenance for company vehicles
  • Prep job-specific equipment for the install team

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Experience hauling trailers with 10,000 pound or more ratings
  • Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts and tractors
  • Physically able to frequently lift 60 lbs and work in varying conditions (heat, cold, snow, mud,
    etc.)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Comfortable using Google Drive tools
  • Construction or solar experience is a big plus
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow directions and ask questions

Part-time Installer:

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications (training will be provided as needed, but existing skills a
plus):

  • Must be able to work at heights
  • Has strong physical strength and stamina (prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, crouching,
    and climbing ladders)
  • Organize materials on the jobsite
  • Assist on all aspects of installs (installing racking on roofs or build ground-mount structures,
    mounting modules, array wiring, and conduit, taking photos for inspector)
